1. Cut the pieces.

From background fabric (white) cut the following:

3 1/2 X 3 1/2 inch square--cut 6. These are your A squares.
3 7/8 X 3 7/8 inch square--cut 4, then cut each diagonally to make 2 triangles, for a total of 8. These are your B triangles.

From blue fabric, cut:

3 1/2 X 3 1/2 inch square--cut 2. These are your A squares.
3 7/8 X 3 7/8 inch square--cut 1, then cut diagonally to make 2 triangles. These are your B triangles.

From red fabric, cut:

3 7/8 X 3 7/8 inch square--cut 3, then cut each diagonally to make 2 triangles, for a total of 6. These are your B triangles.

Red, white and blue are only for illustration--use any colors you like!

2. Sew the B triangles together to make squares.
