Rocky Mountain Puzzle
1. Cut the pieces.

From background fabric (white) cut the following:
- 3 7/8 X 3 7/8 inch square--cut 5, then cut each diagonally to make 2 triangles, for a total of 10 triangles. These are your A triangles.
- 4 1/2 X 4 1/2 inch square--cut 1. This is your D square.
- 3 1/2 X 3 1/2 inch square--cut 2. These are your E squares.
From blue fabric, cut:
- 3 7/8 X 3 7/8 inch square--cut 5, then cut each diagonally to make 2 triangles, for a total of 10 triangles. These are your C triangles.
- 1 1/2 X 6 1/2 inch rectangle--cut 2. These are your B rectangles.
- 1 1/2 X 4 1/2 inch rectangle--cut 2. These are your C rectangles.
Blue and white are only for illustration--use any colors you like!
2. Sew the A triangles together into squares.

You'll be making:
3. Sew the C rectangles to the D square.

4. Add the B rectangles.

5. Sew the following strips.

You'll be making 2 of each strip.
6. Sew the 2 short strips to the sides of the center square, making a center strip.

7. Arrange the strips.

5. Sew the block together:
