Rail Fence

1.) First, cut the following:

Strips, Color 1      Cut 9     4 1/2 X 1 1/2 inches
Strips, Color 2      Cut 9     4 1/2 X 1 1/2 inches
Strips, Color 3      Cut 9     4 1/2 X 1 1/2 inches
Strips, Color 4      Cut 9     4 1/2 X 1 1/2 inches

2.) Then, sew the strips together to make 9 of these units:

3.) Lay the units out like this:

4.) Sew in strips, like this:

5.) Finally, sew the strips together to form the block.
