Pinwheel
1. Cut the pieces.
From background fabric (white) cut the following:
- 3 1/2 X 3 1/2 inch square--cut 4. These are your A squares.
From pink fabric, cut:
- 3 1/2 X 3 1/2 inch square--cut 4. These are your B squares.
- 3 7/8 X 3 7/8 inch square--cut 2, then cut each diagonally to make 2 triangles, for a total of 4. These are your C triangles.
From purple fabric, cut:
- 3 1/2 X 3 1/2 inch square--cut 4. These are your D squares.
- 3 7/8 X 3 7/8 inch square--cut 2, then cut each diagonally to make 2 triangles, for a total of 4. These are your E triangles.
Purple, pink and white are just for illustration--use any colors you like.
2. Sew the C and E triangles together into squares.
Sew each pink square to a purple square, as shown:

5. Lsy out the strips as shown:
5. Sew the block together:
