1. Cut the pieces.

From background fabric (white) cut the following:

3 1/2 X 3 1/2 inch square--cut 4. These are your A squares.
7 1/4 X 7 1/4 inch square--cut 1. Cut into quarters along the diagonals, as illustrated below; these are your 4 B triangles.
2 X 2 inch square--cut 4. These are your D squares.
4 1/4 X 4 1/4 inch square--cut 1. Cut into quarters along the diagonals, as illustrated below; these are your 4 E triangles.

From blue fabric, cut:

3 7/8 X 3 7/8 inch square--cut 4, then cut each diagonally to make 2 triangles, for a total of 8 triangles. These are your C triangles.

From red fabric, cut:

2 3/8 X 2 3/8 inch square--cut 4, then cut each diagonally to make 2 triangles, for a total of 8 triangles. These are your F triangles.
3 1/2 X 3 1/2 inch square--cut 1. This is your G square.

Red, blue and white are only for illustration--use any colors you like!

2. Sew the B triangles to the C triangles.
Sew the E triangles to the F triangles.

You'll be making:

3. Sew the blue and white pieces into strips, making the inner star.
