Jacob's Ladder
1. Cut the pieces.

From background fabric (white) cut the following:
- 4 7/8 X 4 7/8 inch square--cut 2, then cut each diagonally to make 2 triangles, for a total of 4. These are your C triangles.
- 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 inch square--cut 10. These are your B squares.
From pink fabric, cut:
- 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 inch square--cut 10. These are your A squares.
From purple fabric, cut:
- 4 7/8 X 4 7/8 inch square--cut 2, then cut diagonally to make 2 triangles, for a total of 4. These are your D triangles.
Pink, white, and purple are just for illustration--use any colors you like.
2. Sew the squares together into larger squares.
First, sew each pink square to a white square, making a short strip.

Then, sew each strip to another strip, like this:

You'll be making
- 5 large pink/white squares
3. Sew the triangles together into squares.
First, sew the C and D triangles together into larger triangles, like this:

4. Sew the block together:
