1. Cut the pieces.

From background fabric (white) cut the following:
- 4 7/8 X 4 7/8 inch square--cut 3, then cut each diagonally to make 2 triangles, for a total of 6. These are your A triangles.
- 4 1/2 X 4 1/2 inch square--cut 3. These are your B squares.
From blue fabric, cut:
- 1 7/8 X 1 7/8 inch square--cut 30, then cut each diagonally to make 2 triangles, for a total of 60. These are your C triangles.
From orange fabric, cut:
- 1 7/8 X 1 7/8 inch square--cut 18, then cut diagonally to make 2 triangles, for a total of 36. These are your D triangles.
Blue, orange and white are just for illustration--use any colors you like.
2. Sew the C and D triangles together into squares.
Sew each orange square to a blue square, as shown:

You'll be making:
You'll have 24 blue triangles left over.
3. Sew the blue/orange squares into strips, along with some of the blue triangles.
Make six each of the following sets of strips

You'll be making:
- 6 of strip a
- 6 of strip b
- 6 of strip c
5. Assemble the strips as shown, adding a blue triangle to each:

You'll be making:
4. Sew a white A triangle to each unit:

You'll be making:
5. Assemble two of following strips:

You'll be making:
6. Assemble one of the following strips:

You'll be making:
7. Arrange the strips as shown:

8. Sew the block together--it's finished!
